In support of Tulsa Juneteenth, living arts and Selah Productions, Inc. present two events at the price of one, GAGE in NOIRE III to educate on The Emancipation Proclamation and the 1921 Tulsa Race Riot.

GAGE: An event combining Fashion, Music and Spoken Word curated by Tiara Crawford of Selah Productions, Inc. and Tony B., Living Arts Spoken Word Committee Chair. This portion of the Juneteenth Celebration will be a fusion of Spoken Word, Fashion, Music and Visual Art with the history of Juneteenth, the Emancipation Proclamation, the promise of freedom and the global movement to unity. You do not want to miss this inspirational Selah Productions, inc. a collaboration of poets moving along with choreographed fashion and dance with original live soundtracks at the Living Arts.

The four poets who will be embedded in the Fashion Play with original music, Live paintings, body painting, Choreography by Marissa Joy of Aura Ma’at. ALL Vendors are welcome.

NOIRE II RECEPTION: West End Gallery, Living ArtSpace, curated by Steve Liggett, Living Arts Artistic Director with help from Inclusion in Art. TIME: 6:30pm-9:00pm. Living Arts of Tulsa is hosting NOIRE III – an exhibition of 20 contemporary African-American artists from Oklahoma. The exhibition is in connection with Tulsa Juneteenth and is in partnership with the Greenwood Chamber of Tulsa’s efforts to unite the diverse groups of Tulsa who are planning events surrounding this important commemoration of the emancipation of slaves in this country.

COST TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SHOW

$60.00 Registration fee covers hair and makeup, and T-Shirt.

REGISTRATION RULES FOR MODELS/DESIGNERS:

  • This is a training workshop and next day live fashion show.

  • Ages 7 years and older

  • $60.00 to register for Show. Will receive a t-shirt and access to website store to sell online tickets under your name.

  • Must be at Gage Meeting 2:00pm-5:00 pm May 28, 2017, at Living Arts Venue 307 E. Brady St Tulsa, OK in all black to pick up tickets and t-shirt.

  • Must be available for fittings the week of the show Saturday 10:00 pm before Workshop in all black.

REGISTRATION RULES FOR BAND/DANCERS/POETS/DESIGNERS:

There is no registration cost. If you choose to order a shirt it will be $20.00 that you may pay for at any meeting.

VENDORS REGISTRATION:

  • $100 per table

  • Set up time is from 12:00pm to 4:00pm

You will be expected to post a photo submission of your work/or body and measurement, and your number and email information.
