Starr Protective Services says they will offer free armed security services for all family outings, picnics and reunions where children are present. The move comes after a shooting at a community softball game in north Tulsa left two dead. Jason Starr of Starr Protective Services says when he heard the shooting had many people in fear of even going to events now, he knew he had to do something.

CEO Jason Starr stated: “In lieu of the Crawford Park tragedy Starr Protective Services LLC will now be offering free armed security services for all family outings, picnics, and reunions when children are present. There should be no reason why anyone should not feel safe at any public outing in our city whatsoever! Our thoughts, prayers, and condolences go out to the families involved in the incident. Please help spread the word and contact us today to find out how we can assist you and our community with your next event. Email us at: starrprotectiveservices@gmail.com call us: (918) 984-0909.

Starr Security Chief Operations Officer Kevin Ferguson II stated: ‘First off my condolences to the families of the victims, and my prayers are with all of the people who were present as I know many people have experienced trauma as a result of this senseless act. It’s a sad day when families can’t enjoy a day at the park and a softball game, due to the ignorance of few people.  Unfortunately, many lives have been negatively impacted. Being raised in this city I have always wanted to see nothing but the best for my city. The softball event has been in place for years and was a cool event that brought all kinds of different people together for a fun, family friendly, and FREE event. As a member of the community I feel a great responsibility to assist my community in any way possible. The goal of the free services is to give the community a sense of security when attending these events so fun remains the focus and not fear. We know our presence won’t detour all the violence but, is our way of giving back and hoping to provide a safe atmosphere for our children and love ones to enjoy community outings.
