TCC Releases 2017 Wish Book Holiday Catalog Serves as Ultimate Gift Guide for Students

The Oklahoma Eagle Newswire

The ultimate gift guide for TCC students is here with this year’s “The Wish Book.” For the second year, the Tulsa Community College Foundation has created a catalog filled with opportunity gifts to help TCC students. These ideas go beyond tuition scholarships to engage the student with experiences and projects that add to their learning.

“We like to call this our education holiday catalog. Influenced by the Neiman Marcus concept for “The Christmas Book,” we want to reimagine education giving,” Lauren Brookey, president of the TCC Foundation and VP for External Affairs. “Our success last year in funding academic and program needs for students inspired us to develop our second catalog.”

“The Wish Book” features 8 opportunity gifts starting at $450 that range from service learning to leadership conferences. One of the opportunities allows students to create little free libraries across 15 city park locations. Another project supports students in the “True Blue Lead” program who serve as volunteer leaders and ambassadors for the College.

“We love the idea that our faculty and staff developed these ideas and opportunities with the goal of inspiring our students,” said Brookey. “With your help, these gifts will become reality and lives will be transformed in ways that cannot be measured by dollars.”
