North Tulsa Community Coalition Hosts Men’s Health & Wellness Expo

The North Tulsa Community Coalition (NTCC) announced today that Tulsa athlete, business owner and entertainer, GERALD “HURRICANE” HARRIS, is the featured keynote speaker at the NTTC Men’s Health & Wellness Expo, Sat. June 9.

This free event, which takes place from 9AM-2 PM at the Tulsa Health Department’s North Regional Health and Wellness Center, includes free health screenings, panel discussions with health experts, free buffet breakfast, a car/motorcycle show and over 100 door prizes. Although the meeting is free and open to the public, registration is required. Registration available at www.ntccunited.org.

“If one’s health fails, it can overshadow everything else in his life. Many men don’t prioritize their personal health. This Expo will encourage men to make a commitment to take on healthier habits that can have a far-reaching payoff for themselves and their family,” said Reggie Ivey, NTCC Board Member and COO of the Tulsa City-County Health Department.

Keynote speaker Gerald “Hurricane” Harris, a native of Turley, OK, is a dynamic athlete who currently competes as a professional MMA fighter with Bellator. A former Hall of Fame collegiate wrestler, Harris is the owner/head trainer at Tulsa’s Hurricane Fitness. In addition, Harris is a rising comedian and noted entertainer. He’s toured nationally, opening for musicians Common, Beanie Sigel and Too Short. He’s also appeared on MTV, BET and Spike TV.
