Unity Center of Tulsa, Sunday service is Saturday night!
By admin • Nov 10th, 2008 • Category: ReligionBecause of the Route 66 Run on Sunday, November 16, the Unity Center of Tulsa will move its Sunday service to 6 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, with a fun-filled evening of burgers and movie.
UCT, at 1830 S. Boston Ave., will celebrate “Going Hog Wild on Route 66,” at its Saturday night service. The Rev. Ann Marie Davis will conduct the 6 p.m. service with her talk on “Route of Adventure and Discovery.”
Following the service, members and guests will dine on potluck hamburgers, rootbeer and side dishes, then watch the comedy movie, “Wild Hogs.”
It’s the second annual Saturday night service that was prompted by the Route 66 Run, which will close streets in and around UCT on Sunday, thus hampering the normal Sunday service.
But Rev. Davis said the event enables UCT to promote a fun evening for members and guests as its part in the Route 66 event.
